On time performance verses Security.......

I have some questions for you all here....to ponder...think...

  1. Has the LCC business model made skies safer?
  2. Does outsourcing of airport services makes it easy for some one to penetrate the airport security system?
  3. The desire to have turn around time between 25-30 minutes and the pressure for an on time performance (O.T.P) leaves many security procedures unfinished is it justified?
I have no stone to grind against LCC but i am against out sourcing certain services at the airport, as it becomes easy for some one to penetrate the system and reach at the inner ring of security...

Some body mentioned this to me "Aviation security has to be alert every time and it can not put its guard down ever, as a terrorist needs that one window of opportunity to do what he wants to"....... remember he is a very patient person...

I have a read a lot on AVSEC on the web and have found people writing how security at airports is a pain in the ***....

Security at airports is a no -compromise issue in today's world and in coming times it will get tougher...with new systems been developed for the new and emerging threats.......

I am waiting for the discussion to start...and a word of caution....

we will not get racial and insulting here...i am making it an open house for the moment .......
